#StylingTheSeasons : SEPTEMBER
S e p t e m b e r has just started and I am happy to join a new project called "styling the seasons". Here are Charlotte's September dinning table, and Katie's home office's shelves or Jeska's bedside table, Tamsyn's hydrangeas , Teri's indian summer .- Cate's breakfast feast - Tina's fantastic keyholder's bits and bobs - Emma's beautiful flowers - Lori's mantlepiece - Emily's beautiful flower pictures- Rebecca's cosy sofa. I hope to see more of this monthly great series* elsewhere.
For our "back to school" month, I chose a mix of neon pink, yellow and grey. Flowers are (carnations, I bought on the very first day back from holidays for their long duration), because summer isn't over ! Yellow (alongside grey) has been a big "hit" in my house over the summer.
I have that pre-loved coffee table. I found it in front of someone's house ! Just the one we were looking for, the right size and material. We painted it in grey keeping the legs in the original wood.
Of course, we accumulate too many things on that table - but as the seasons go by, I like to change this specific area of the living room.
Jamie's Comfort Food book is a present I made to the person who shares this place with me (not the kitchen I'm afraid), he might give it a try ! Some recipes will help us leave summer behind us.
As a nursery teacher, I have been looking for new games for my class. I found these plastic flowers you can make a wristband with, organising patterns (or not); I might get a chance to get one on my wrist very soon ! The memory game is a bit vintage as well, I think it will be great to use for a variety of projects.
September is always like a new start !
